Clubhouse Redevelopment – Winter Update

Posted:
30th March 2020

Planning Approved.

There may have been no cricket played at the ground for a while, but work has continued on our long awaited facilities upgrade behind the scenes. The proposal has received Planning Approval and it is now full steam ahead.

The Proposal includes:

  • A full refurbishment of the existing changing facilities,
  • Remodel of the existing Tea Room to provide additional WC, Umpire and Female changing facilities,
  • Function Room extension to not only be utilised as our Tea Room but as an additional facility to the local community for multi-use,
  • Relocation of the ‘Tractor Shed’ (though the wrinkly tin will be missed!),
  • A designated stoned car park area with level disabled access to the buildings,
  • A double lane static cricket net,
  • A new all-weather wicket on the square,
  • Permanent dugouts for the two football pitches.

Unfortunately, the highly coveted hot tub didn’t make the cut, sorry.

Here’s how the clubhouse currently looks, for comparison

To date, we have secured a little over £110k to fund this project, which is fantastic but it’s not job done. Any and all fundraising ideas are welcome. We also have a number of sponsorship opportunities available for those interested in investing in a great family orientated club offering cricket for all, from 5 to 75-year-olds, that’s been a thriving part of the community for neigh on a century.

Please contact the committee via info@condovercricket.club for any enquiries/suggestions.
