Alexis Newman opened the batting alongside Sam Rogers and the pair made a good start before Sam was bowled for 14. The main partnership of the innings was between Alexis and Andy Mottram, as they piled on the runs. Sadly, Alexis once again fell just short of his maiden half century for the club as he went for 44. Motty reached his fifty not too long afterwards as Pat Buckingham chipped in with 25. Condover finished up on 181-6.

The home side’s openers started strongly and blunted our attack, thankfully Alexis made the breakthrough as Motty dismissed the other opening bat. There were three run outs during the chase enacted by Anthony, Pat and Motty. With 8 needed off the last over, up stepped Rich Gilbert who bowled some quality yorkers picking up 2 wickets. Condover managed to win the game by 4 runs and showed some great team spirit.
