Our Ladies indoor campaign has gotten off to a flyer in the Wrekin Indoor league with both Flame and Fire unbeaten in their respective leagues and on a collision course to the Final on 08 February.
Condover Fire started as they meant to go on with a convincing 67 run win against Albrighton Roses. This was followed up with wins against Allscott and Newport. Confidence was growing and Fire sporting two mother daughter combos were firing on all cylinders again beating Madeley and Shrewsbury, even having to play with 5 one week didn’t change their fortunes and securing top spot in the league and Fire’s place in the semi-finals.
Condover Flame welcomed Louise Herbert back to the squad and got off to a flying start comfortably beating both Renegades and Forton. Next up was the friendly rivalry of Shelton, which is always a tight game but, on this occasion, Flame came out on top by five runs. Great wins against Wrekin and Wiley saw Flame top the group as well and go through to the Finals night.
Fingers crossed the form remains and their winning streaks continue in the Semi-Finals where success would see an all Condover Final – Flame v Fire
Doing the club proud, here’s hoping for the first silverware of the season!
Good Luck to both teams (no favouritism here ????)
