This week saw our under 15s side play two games, one in the league and one in the cup.
Monday’s fixture was a trip to Newtown and possibly one to forget with the bat as our side were all out for 87 after 19.1 overs. Jake’s 25 from 38 balls the main contribution. Newtown chased down their target after 15 overs for the loss of 3 wickets, Lucas and Ollie taking one each and Jake with a run out.
On Friday night it was another trip away this time to a strong Oswestry side in the semi-final of the cup. The home sides’ top four all made decent contributions as they posted a big score of 186-3. In reply, Condover put in a great effort and scored 119-3 which is more often than not a winning score in age group cricket. Jake carried on his run of form scoring 21, his brother Ollie hit 19 not out and captain Finn also continued his run scoring efforts with 33 not out.
Despite the results once again the squad can be proud of their efforts in training and matches, they are very much a team that plays with great spirit and a lot of fight.
